Greenwald: Two lessons from the Megaupload seizure Mobile

Salon.com » Two lessons from the Megaupload seizure Mobile

Glenn Greenwald writes about the government shut down of Megaupload and the death of due process in America.

It really is accurate to say that politicians don't give a hell about due process anymore, as Greenwald says, but I also think its equally accurate to say that the American people don't care much for due process any longer as well. The apathy in this society is so thick you could cut it with a knife.

The rights of the people in America are being sliced off one at a time, but as long as they have their reality TV shows and sports and gossip columns to read then they'll gladly allow the government to do whatever it wants here and abroad.
